Grand Opening Promotion

Hello friends,

I need your help. I am so excited to launch RodEvans.TV – a new FREE training website for photographers. I have posted several quick/low quality videos already (real tutorial videos are professionally produced), but I want your comments and I want to know what you are interested in learning about.

In exchange for giving me feedback and checking out my new site, I will give you $30 off any of my full training videos including my brand new Facebook Marketing Tutorial. Just enter “rodevanstv” at checkout to save $30 off any product. Enjoy!

Thank you!

Rod Evans

  • Rod…what can I say!? This site is exactly what I needed after a very long winter. It’s like Newton’s apple and I needed that drop on the head! The topics are great…all very common sense, but things that you just never really think about until they’re in your face like this. Very motivating and inspiring! Thank you!

  • Awesome work! This is perfect for those of us new to the industry and eager to learn and grow. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise and insights.

  • just tried to view domos. We have dsl, and they were very erratic. on, off, on off . couldn”t understand most. Other wise, very interested. ron

  • Looks Great Rod!
Everyone has been after me to join facebook but I just haven’t had the time. I’m looking forward to your DVD and getting things set up

  • Thanks for doing this Rod. I always love hearing you speak.

  • Hey Rod, The studdering of your video is, I think, from the HD feature being on by default. Until the bug is fixed I would suggest publishing future videos with it off.

Tough love…I love the content but the production value could use some work. Maybe cross cut to some examples of the topics of discussion or set up another camera that stays in place so that you can cut back and forth between angles to keep it interesting. Maybe I’m jumping the gun. I’m sure your full training videos are up to par. You are a wealth of knowledge. I’m soaking it up.

  • Rod Hi,

I have been a big fan of your work since I discover your photography in the Photovision DVDs. I found so interesting that you are willing to share your lighting techniques and branding strategies with us. As a starting business photographer, all your tips and techniques are always welcome.
I love your lighting technique tips, and I also found very usefull the marketing strategy that I have learnt from you. I discover the potential of facebook to get new customers thanks to you.. Thanks Rod

I am a simplest and really with this struggling economy I have o be right now so I am always looking for more tips on just a camera and little to nothing else and getting to work. Right now I shoot on Location only so info and tips on that would be great also. Marketing tools, photoshop and plugin tips, and wow factors are always fun and I love the world of digital and the endless possibilities so I look forward to seeing more and getting great ideas. • Hello Rod,

First of all I too found you thru Photo Vision and my wife and enjoyed watching you work and this could be a good vehicle for you. Also Carlen and Darty just mentioned you to our class at Texas School. The video was choppie for me as well and we have a T1 line here at work, (my day job I work for a major photo lab.) I will watch them again from home. Let me know how else I can help you.

  • Thank you,,I will keep them coming..

  • Rod,I was not interested in portraits til I saw you on Photovision! You inspire me!
Therefore I am pretty much a beginner to it.Please keep that in mind that not everyone watching is pro level yet-but we are out there, struggling to make it to that level.I love seeing lighting tips, exactly where they are placed, types etc. And your creative tips are awesome!! Keep it coming!

  • Very nice videos. Fresh new information with a lively presenter. I especially liked your “soft” topics like creativity and goal setting. Selling CD’s was a good topic and the mirror lighting session was well done. I think you have a good bead on what is interesting to photographers.
I think your video work is good. The lighting is good and the settings are nice. I wish you could improve the sound quality. The mic and recording is accurate, but it’s obvious you are filming in a large room with lots of reverberation going on. Maybe hanging some blankets from background stands could help dampen that a bit.
But otherwise, I think you’re doing a great job with this stuff.

  • I like your videos. I don’t might paying a monthly fee to see content on shooting, editing, marketing, selling. What bugs me are photographers who sell stuff but it bears no resemblance to what is happening in the reall world-ie their photo business. I know you are an active photographer and not just a teacher.

Videos with content on the subject areas above is what I would like to see. Key word “content”

  • Rod,

My first experience hearing you speak was at HOA 4 years ago. I was also excited to see you on Photo Vision. You are very motivating and inspiring!

Love all the topics you have provided. I am at the point where marketing is most helpful. I chuckled at the glamour shot, because it is something I may be able to accomplish. You can break down something that seems so hard and make it look so easy. Some great simple ideas also! Never given myself a “Self Assignment”, but may start!

I too had some break up in the video which made it frustrating for me. I felt like I missed half of what you said.

Keep up the great work! Always thrilled to hear what you have to say!!! :)

  • Rod. Love all your work and enjoy your photography. But I think for the videos that you are running, you need to get a microphone so that you can be heard better. Everything you are saying is great information. GET A MIC PLEASE!

  • Loved them. So it is a one hour tutorial dvd for $99.? Is that right?

  • That is right!!! make sure to put the code rodevanstv in last when checking out in coupon code and it will take 30 off

  • Rod – these are great short videos and for someone with a passion for photography and thirst for knowledge, these are awesome. I don’t find many photographers willing to share knowledge and techniques so you are a refreshing change. I’ll be keeping tuned to rodevans.TV for sure!

    Cheers

    Paul

  • I have watched you on photovision & when I got this email it perked my interest!
I really enjoy these quick tips and I am considering purchasing some of you videos.
    thanks

  • The article is usefull for me. I’ll be coming back to your blog.

  • I have a topic I hope you talk about. This business is not like that movie field of dreams…if you build it they will come. No one is coming…how do you get clients calling you, seeking you out? I have a web presence…and that is about it. I need people to know I am here, and to contact me and book me. It’s not happening.

Love your site so far, love what you have to say, I look forward to more.

  • Got the whole package and watched all three today (Facebook, Senior models, and Selling your digital files). They were awesome and I will have my Facebook ad up by the end of tomorrow! (need to update my website first.) One question regarding selling digital files. You mentioned having only 3 or 5 retouched images based on the session they booked, and that they are not retouched on the CD that the customer receives. The retouched images never get into their hands. I’m assuming you create those retouched images only for the presentation and the web gallery then, but I wanted to verify that.
Again, love your products, this website and all the info you share. I’ll be looking forward to more lighting videos in the future.

I do pretouch the ones on the CD..and they can get more retouches by paying more..
