I absolutely agree with everything you say here – too many artists are struggling to work in an isolated vaccuum, so it’s important to have someone who understands and empathizes with you as an artist. My best friend and assistant, Edwin, is a talented space artist and we often spend hours discussing art, vision, inspiration, techniques and ideas that help to keep each other motivated.

Thanks for sharing this great insight with us, and keep up the great work Rod – you are always an inspiration.

This rings so true, Rod. I find myself so much more creative and receptive when I am around artist of any kind. I especially love to go to shops that sell wares from local artists.
